Haley Hopkins

Haley HopkinsHaley Hopkins joined The Fieldhouse staff after a successful college career at the University of South Alabama.  Hopkins competed both on the mound and behind the plate for the Jags, with an unprecedented role in Division 1 softball as both a pitcher and a catcher, and also played outfield at times.  She also led the Jags in 2012 to it’s first regional appearance, and led the team in homeruns, batting average and slugging percentage.  She was also named to both the Sun Belt All-Conference team, and the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll during her collegiate career.

The Gulf Shores, AL native was the 5A Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player at the 2008 State Championship, and was the winning pitcher in the 2008 State Championship game.  Hopkins was a 3x All-State player and was named to the Press-Registers Super 12 all four years of her high school career.

Hopkins knows how to win, and knows how to train young athletes to reach their maximum potential.  In the fall of 2015 Hopkins will be available for lessons in hitting and pitching on a part-time basis so she can also focus her efforts as the new Head Coach at Spanish Fort High school.
